Green River

Rating - Good

Tuesday, Oct 19 2021
Flows are fluctuating between 900 cubic feet per second at night to 1,800 CFS during the day. The water temperature between 51 to 53 degrees at the dam. Fishing access is good and catch rates continue to be good if anglers are willing to adapt. Some mayfly and midge hatches are occurring. Terrestrial patterns are working at times. Nymph patterns usually work the most consistently. Jigs, crankbaits, spinners and spoons can also work well. Pinch down barbs for a quick release and try to limit time out of the water when releasing fish. Please use other good catch-and-release techniques when fishing this water. Angling and recreational use has dropped off. The brown trout spawn will begin soon, so try to avoid spawning redds.
