Green River

Rating - Fair

Saturday, Feb 15 2020
Flows are varying from 1300 to 2700 cfs twice daily. The Green River receives very low angler pressure this time of the year. Streamer fishing continues to be good, especially on cloudy or warm days, using streamers in white, black, and ginger. Nymph fishing is usually good this time of year using size 20-22 gray soft hackles and zebra midges. Some midday hatches are occurring and anglers have had success fishing small nymphs. Spin fishing has also been good. Marabou or tube jigs in earth tones, white/chartreuse, and ginger are a good option in shallow or deep water. Rainbow or brown trout patterned crankbaits and spoons also work well. Pinch down the barbs for quick release. Winter is a good time to fish the river, just try and avoid wading through the brown trout spawning beds.
