2/2/2023 The State Parks website says that the ice is 14 inches thick with hard edges and no slush. Anglers have been having success for trout in 20 feet of water or less. To target rainbow trout, tip small ice flies or tube jigs with wax worms or nightcrawlers in 20 feet or under water. For Brown trout and perch fish deeper using tungsten ice flies and jigging raps with mealworms and actively jig 1 -2 feet off the bottom. Access to the reservoir is available via pullouts and designated parking ares along Echo Dam Road on the east side of the reservoir. Updates on park access and construction can be found on the state parks website.
