Reservoir Conditions: The lake is seasonal normal and that is in between summer and winter pool. The water temperature is near 60 degrees.Crappie: Blowdowns in the creeks, bluff walls in the river, and docks are places anglers are catching fish. Depths vary according to the targeted location. Minnows or jigs are used for bait.Bass: Grassy flats on the river and in the sloughs have fish. Use something weedless above or in the grass. Look for baitfish around flats or points for other areas to target. Lipless crankbaits can be used.Catfish: Use natural bait in the river when the current is flowing.Bluegill: Fish around rocky banks and docks. Use worms or crickets. Fishing is good.Shellcracker: Use small jigs or worms in the pockets near the tailwater.Striped Bass: The mid to lower lake has striped bass in the shallow pockets and in the creeks. A lot of baitfish makes catching these fish challenging. A few fish are in the tailwater. Use shad or swimbaits for bait.Walleye: Some fish are being caught in the upper river. Fish near the bottom with crankbaits, jigs or spoons.

Largemouth Bass: Grass edges along the open water are the better place to find bass. Plastic worms are the best bait.
Crappie: Fish under lights at night or seek out the deeper docks during high light hours. Use minnows or jigs at night and jigs during the daylight.
