It was a good week for both boat fishermen and inlet fishermen. Anglers fishing off the inlet jetties were into plenty of tog and while you had to pick through the short fish you still got your one fish limit. On the striped bass fishing front boats fishing to the north of the inlet enjoyed mostly overs, some big bluefin were still moving along the beaches. Several were hooked and lost and a few surfcasters were spooled by big fish, we were told. Lastly some stripers also have been moving in and out of the inlet with the tides, especially in the evenings.
