Belews creek water is very hot with tournaments and its taking its toll on the fishing. The spotted bass fishing has suffered but they can still be found in decent numbers out deep. Drop shot is a powerful tool out there during the hot summer month my favorite choice being the Gary Yamamoto shad shaped worm in either a green pumpkin or Shad color. Keep a strike king sexy dawg ready for schoolers who come to the surface on windy days.
