New Jersey's recreational summer flounder season will run from May 4 through September 25 with a three fish bag and 18-inch minimum size limit. Also, New Jersey's special management zone regulations for summer flounder would remain in effect, that being a 17-inch minimum and three fish bag west of COLREGS on Delaware Bay, and a 16-inch minimum size and two per angler limit at Island Beach State Park. Also included in the regulatory change for summer flounder was a new recreational porgy season, with a 10-inch minimum size and 30 fish bag limit, with an open season from January 1 to June 30, and from September 1 to December 31. Black sea bass regulations remain the same (12.5-inch minimum size, open 5/17-6/19 with a 10 fish bag, 7/1-8/31 with a one fish bag, 10/1-10/31 with a 10 fish bag, and 11/1-12/31 with a 15 fish bag). Windy Monday to start the week, but with temps in the 60s in the forecast expect to see an uptick in outback striper reports.
