Some anglers are reporting good catches of walleye while jigging and trolling the main lake. Locating the active fish is a bit challenging but when they are located they are not hard to catch. Fish are being caught in the lake at the mouth of the Detroit river where Lake St. Clair meets the mighty Detroit river. Anglers are also starting to report excellent fishing in the St. Clair River from the mouth of the Black River to Algonac. Jigging using Gobie looking jigs. The trolling bite is starting to produce as well on the river. Use 3 and 4 ounce bottom bouncers and crawler harness and troll down river slightly faster than the current.
