In the spring, trout fishing for both boat and shore anglers is usually best in shallow to midwater depths. For shore anglers, try fishing trout Jakes lure, Rooster Tail, Panther martins, Rapala, dough bait, worms, eggs color: (red, pink, orange), power bait (rainbow, chartreuse, yellow, pink, orange, garlic in rainbow or just garlic, corn) off the bottom in shallow water. Boat anglers can do well trolling shallow- to medium-diving crankbaits or a pop gear and a squid, tub jigs color: (pearl, white, glow, pink, yellow, chartreuse, purple, and mossy green) combination. As the water warms, smallmouth bass fishing will pick up along shallow rocky areas, especially in the afternoon when the water has had a chance to warm up close to shore. Smallmouth bass can be caught during these times with suspending crankbait, jerkbait, sinking flies, tub jigs color: (pearl, white, glow, pink, yellow, chartreuse, purple, and mossy green), Curl tail jigs color: (pearl, white, glow, pink, yellow, chartreuse, purple, and mossy green).
